Dear Friend of Stanford Athletics,
On behalf of Stanford University and all 35 of our varsity athletic programs, I would like to thank you for your support of Stanford Athletics.
The Stanford Athletics tradition of excellence has been built not only by our student-athletes and coaches, but by your loyal support as well. Your generosity through both endowment and annual gifts has allowed thousands of Stanford student-athletes to excel academically and athletically.
For more than 70 years, the Buck/Cardinal Club has provided thousands of student-athletes the scholarship aid necessary to make their dream of a Stanford education a reality. Working with the Stanford Athletics scholarship endowment program, the Buck/Cardinal Club is also able to provide program support for our 35 varsity sports to allow them to compete and recruit at the highest level of NCAA Division I Athletics.
To build on this success, I am proud to announce the new Buck/Cardinal Club annual giving program, which will recognize your loyalty and generosity to Stanford Athletics. This program will make sure that we deliver donor benefits in a timely and consistent manner, offer a chance to improve seating at our venues, and ensure that you continue to stay connected with your favorite sports.
All annual solicitations and benefits will now run through the Buck/Cardinal Club, decreasing the number of solicitations you will receive from our programs each year. Our head coaches support this change because every program will now receive the budget resources it needs from the funds generated by the Buck/Cardinal Club. Instead of fundraising, our head coaches and their staffs will now get to focus on what they most enjoy: working with their current student-athletes and recruiting the best and brightest student-athletes this country has to offer.
Again, we appreciate all you have done for Stanford University and are excited about this plan to better service our supporters. Go Cardinal!
