Stanford Athletics Marketing department organizes and produces promotions for each sport throughout the course of their season as well as their off season.  From pre-game productions to half time events to post-game festivities, these promotions are geared to provide an enhanced fan experience at all of our events.  Below is a current schedule of promotions.

Schedule Cards & Posters
Stanford Athletics' Marketing produces schedule cards and posters for each sport prior to their respective seasons.  These schedule cards and posters are available free of charge in various locations throughout the Stanford campus and Bay Area community.  These items are also available in the Marketing Suite of the Arrillaga Family Sports Center.

The Cardinal will kickoff the 2008 season on national television as they host the Oregon State Beavers at Stanford Stadium.  Kickoff is scheduled for 6pm.

"Kids Come Free" day
All kids 14 and under will be admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult*.  For more information or to purchase tickets call 1-800-STANFORD or click here.
*Adult general admission seats are just $10.

City of Palo Alto day
Stanford Athletics has partnered with the City of Palo Alto to offer residents specially priced general admission seats in the Stanford Student section (located behind the team bench in the lower west side of the stadium).

Promotional partners for this game are The Palo Alto Daily News and Comcast Sports Net.  Other group participants for this game include: The Stanford Blood Center, The Stanford Athletics Advisory Board, Stanford Faculty and Staff, and The Stanford Medical Center.

The second home game of the season brings the Cardinal head-to-head with south peninsula rival San Jose State.  The Red Zone student rooting section will be in full force as this weekend kicks off the new academic year.

Bill Walsh Legacy game
All youngsters 14 and under wearing a team jersey or cap will be admitted FREE.  Kids in attendance will be invited to come down to the field after the game as part of the Bill Walsh Legacy game salute.  Halftime will feature several youth football teams* performing on the field.
*Teams will earn the right to participate in halftime by selling tickets as a fundraiser for their league.  For more information, contact the Marketing Department

This is Homecoming weekend and the Cardinal hosts the Wildcats of Arizona.  The Stanford Alumni Association has planned festivities for the entire weekend.  The class of 1958 will be honored at halftime, and a special salute will be made to Stanford's student-athletes in a Parade of Champions.

The Cardinal is set to take on the Washington State Cougars.

Superstar Student game
Over 2,000 Northern California schools will participate in the annual Superstar Student game, which recognizes all children through high school age for their achievements in the classroom and on the field.  Superstar students are invited to the pre-game and game festivities.

Band Day
The Stanford Band will host high school bands from throughout the Bay Area.  A group performance in the traditional "scatter band style" of the Stanford Band will take place at halftime.

Stanford Football Reunion game
All former Stanford Football players are invited back as guests of Stanford Football.  This year the 1978 team that went to and won the Bluebonnet Bowl will be honored.

Share the Experience game
All season ticket holders will be provided two (2) general admission tickets to be used to introduce and share the experience of Stanford Football with two new fans.

USC
Game time: TBA
The final home game of the 2008 season pits perennial Pac-10 power USC against the Stanford Cardinal.  Last year's match in Southern California was legendary as the Cardinal defeated the then #1 Trojans by the score of 24 to 23.  During halftime, the Stanford and USC band will perform on the field.

Hall of Fame Induction
The Stanford Hall of Fame will induct its 2008 class.  For more information on the 2008 inductees, visit the Stanford Hall of Fame
