Super Six To Be Aired Saturday 12:00 P.M. on CBS

Stanford Finishes Third At Super Six
Senior Tabitha Yim was named one of the four finalists for the prestigious Honda award, as announced by Tara Grossman of Collegiate Women Sports Awards. Yim is coming off her second straight Super Six with the Cardinal and three more all-American awards. She finishes her Cardinal career with 14 all-American honors in her illustrious career.

Seven All-American Awards for SWG
While the team competition is completed for Stanford women's gymnastics, the team still has three gymnasts up for individual national titles on Saturday evening at Stegeman Coliseum. Stanford has one individual national champion in the program's history when Larissa Fonatine captured the vault title in 1998.

Complete Super Six Results
Stanford women's gymnastics equaled their highest finish in school history Friday night at the Super Six with a third place finish after a team score of 196.750. It was another team effort as the host Georgia Gym Dogs continued their strong run at home and won their fourth national championship in a row behind a team score of 197.450. The Utes of Utah finished as the runner-up for the third straight year after a mark of 197.125.

Stanford women's gymnastics is currently warming up in preparation for the 2008 Super Six in Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Ga. They are on the campus of the University of Georgia and are looking for their first ever national championship. The SEC sends four of the six teams to this competition as host Georgia, Alabama, LSU and Florida will all represent the conference. Utah is the sixth remaining team left in the competition, which will sure be an intense battle here in the middle of SEC country.
