Stanford completed their season at the How Cup in Princeton, N.J. by winning one of three matches to finish their season as the No. 7 team in the nation. It was a historic year for Cardinal squash who qualified for Howe Cup for the first time this season.

Stanford Sweeps Northeast Road Trip

The Cardinal women's squash team swept three matches on a weekend road trip to Maine. On Saturday, January 12, Stanford won a pair of matches by the score of 8-1 at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine and at Bowdoin College in Bowdoin, Maine. Sunday, January 13, the Cardinal completed the perfect road trip by defeating Dartmouth College 5-4.

As head coach Mark Talbott sees it, 2007-08 could be an historic season for the Cardinal women's squash team. That's because Talbott has strong leadership and a talented freshman class and what he believes is a team that could break into the top division at the National Championships. Stanford has made amazing and unprecedented progress in the national rankings the past three seasons. The Cardinal was ranked 30th in the nation in 2004, and by the end of the 2007 campaign, it had jumped to No. 12 in the country.
